The Choir of St Petersburg clergy established in 1971 is the oldest church choir in Russia. Since the time of it’s foundation the Choir has been performing actively not only in churches and cathedrals but also on secular stages of the Kirovsky (now Mariinsky) Theater and Academic Capella of Leningrad. In 1988 the Choir participated in celebration of the millennium of Baptism of Russia.

A new period of our history starts (with the name of Yuri Gerasimov, who made) / with/ a new trend of international concert activity. Since 2008 the Choir has been constantly performing on stages of Italy, Switzerland, Sweden, Estonia.

The Choir is not just another artistic  collective, it is a community of acting  orthodox priests. Our purpose is a Christian preaching of peace through the imperishable beauty of orthodox chants and Russian songs.
